Lucas Oil 150 Rescheduled for Sunday at 4 p.m.

RIVER GLADE, NB (June 29, 2013) - The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour and Petty International Raceway have rescheduled the Lucas Oil 150 for Sunday at 4:00 p.m. Back gates will open at 10:30 a.m. and grandstand gates will open at 1 p.m.

Mister Transmission Mini Stocks and Leisure Days RV Bandolero Twin 25's will race on the undercard prior to the Lucas Oil 150. Fireworks celebrating Canada's birthday will conclude the show on Sunday evening.

Petty Int'l Speedway management plan to run the Canada Day GT Enterprises 100 on Monday along with a 50-lap feature for the C Max Paint and Body Shop Supplies Street Stock. The Leisure Days RV Bandoleros will be back for round two on the weekend, as well as the Atlantic Open Wheel (AOW) Series and the Eastern Mini Cup Series. Race time Monday is 1 p.m.

Lucas Oil 150 Postponed Until Sunday, Canada Day 100 Moved to Monday

RIVER GLADE, NB (June 28, 2013) - Expected wet weather on Saturday has forced officials for Petty International Raceway and the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour to postpone the Lucas Oil 150 from Saturday, tentatively rescheduled for Sunday (pending weather).

The Canada Day GT Enterprises 100 show that had been scheduled for Sunday is moved to Monday at 1 p.m., also weather permitting.

Further updates for the Lucas Oil 150, if necessary, will be provided by 3 p.m. Saturday.

Celebrate Canada Day Weekend at Petty With Pro Stock Tour and More

RIVER GLADE, NB (June 26, 2013) - There is no better place for Maritime race fans to spend this coming Canada Day weekend than Petty International Raceway. With two shows scheduled, one for Saturday and one for Sunday, fans can sit back and enjoy seven different divisions of high octane stock car racing - and then when it's over - a festive fireworks display to celebrate Canada's 146th birthday.

Centre-stage on Saturday will be the Lucas Oil 150 for the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour - the first race of 2013 in New Brunswick for the popular touring series. A full field of pro stocks are expected including series point leader and three-time champion John Flemming, along with reigning series champion Shawn Turple - both from Nova Scotia, and defending race winner Jonathan Hicken from Prince Edward Island. Local favourites Shawn Tucker, Mike Stevens, and Brad Mann are hoping to defend New Brunswick pride against other Tour favourites. Joining the pro stocks for Saturday's show are the Mister Transmission Mini Stocks and a twin 25-lap feature for the Leisure Days RV Bandoleros.

On Sunday it is the Canada Day 100 for the GT Enterprises Sportsman division that is expected to highlight the show, along with a 50-lap feature for the C Max Paint and Body Shop Supplies Street Stock. The Leisure Days RV Bandoleros will be back for round two on the weekend, as well as the Atlantic Open Wheel (AOW) Series and the Eastern Mini Cup Series. Fireworks will close the Canada Day weekend celebration after racing concludes Sunday.

All of Petty's house divisions (sportsman, street stock, mini stock, and bandoleros) will see championship points awarded based on finishing positions; division champions will be determined at the end of the season along with a Napa Petitcodiac Rookie of Year. Ryan Messer and Cole Tanner are currently tied atop the bandolero point standings, Mike Weagle holds a slim two point advantage over Brad Daley in mini stocks, Martin Landry is four markers ahead of Alexandra O'Blenis in street stock, and Russell Smith Jr. holds a two point margin over Matt Maillet in the sportsman class.

Petty International Raceway management continue infrastructure improvements with the construction of roadways in the RV parking area allowing easier access for fans who plan to stay the weekend.

Racing starts at 6 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. Grandstand admission Saturday is $25 for adults and $10 for youth aged eight to 18; on Sunday adult tickets are $20, youth are $10; children seven and under will be admitted free both days (when accompanied by an adult).

In the event of rain on Saturday the Lucas Oil 150 show will move to Sunday, bumping Sunday's Canada Day 100 show to Monday. Postponements, if necessary, along with start times will be announced as available.
